I’m a lover of early mornings, train travel, dinner parties, Tom Petty and the ocean in winter. I married my love in our backyard in late summer of 2019 and we danced our first dance at our local dive bar while I sported a pink wig. I love tradition and ritual but I love creating our own traditions just as much.
We purchased a home in the little Northern Vermont town of St. Albans and have been pouring all our love and time into fixing it up and making it our own, surrounding ourselves with souvenirs from travels together and apart, artwork we’ve collected and made by our daughter, and antiques found on lucky thrifting trips. I get a lot of inspiration from weddings and value creating a space where loved ones can gather over good food, wine, and music and create memories together.
I’ve been photographing weddings for the past 13 years, traveling across the U.S. and abroad to capture couples on one of the most important days of their lives. I’m drawn to the way people interact with one another, and I enjoy using light and composition to tell a meaningful story. Photography allows me to document genuine moments and emotions, preserving them for couples to reflect on for generations.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A PERSONALIZED EXPERIENCE
Each wedding I’m a part of is so very different and I never go into one with expectations. This day is about you! I want to learn about who you are, how you interact, what your story is, and how you want your wedding day to feel. This isn’t my photoshoot, this is your day. I want my images to reflect who the two of you are in an honest and true way.
A THOUGHTFUL AND TIMELESS FINISHED PRODUCT
With each wedding I shoot, I strive for a unique and well-crafted gallery that will evoke feelings of nostalgia for you and your family. I’ve always prioritized timelessness over trends in hopes that your photos will never feel dated or inauthentic to the deep roots of who you are. For this reason, I keep my editing true to color while still creating a dreamy and romantic look.
A SUPPORTIVE FRIEND
I love weddings because I love people. As much as I’m there to document your day, I’m also there as a friend and a support when needed. On many occasions, I’ve zipped brides into their wedding dresses, pinned corsages on groomsmen, kept family away to give couples a minute alone, and grabbed a handful of tissues for mom during the ceremony. These are some of my favorite parts of a wedding day.
Dramatic landscapes, bear hugs, twinkling bistro lights, drunken dance parties, happy tears, sunlight streaming through wine glasses, contagious laughter, warm summer evenings and cool autumn nights.
